Step 1 Launch Outlook Express.
Step 2 Click on the File drop-down menu, choose Identities and Add New Identity.

Step 3 Enter the name you wish to use for this identity. You may use any name you wish, although it is usually best to give the identity a meaningful name.

Click the OK button to continue.
Step 4 You will be asked if you want to switch to the newly named identity now. Click Yes to continue.

Note: If Outlook Express is not your default email program, you will be asked if you wish to change this. Click Yes or No to continue.

Step 5 When you arrive at the Internet Connection Wizard screen, enter the name you wish to appear on email that you send to others. This can be your real name, a company name or any name that you wish.

Click Next to continue.
Step 6 Enter your full, valid e-mail address for this account including the realm. For example, myemail@mts.net includes the realm of @mts.net.

Click Next to continue.
Step 7 Enter the server information of your email provider in the E-mail Server Names screen.
For MTS email accounts, use the following:
Incoming mail server type is POP3.
Incoming mail server name should be pop.mts.net.
Outgoing mail server name should be smtp.mts.net.

Click Next to continue.
Step 8a Enter your Account Name and Password.
For MTS email accounts, use the following:
Account name is your full email.
Password is the password that you selected when you created your account or last changed your password.

Click Next to continue.
Step 8b Importing Email
If prompted to import e-mail we recommend that you choose to bypass this step by selecting Do Not Import at this time and clicking Next. You can always import your e-mail at a later time through the File menu of Outlook Express.
Step 9 Once you see the Congratulations screen, you are finished and your email identity should now be ready to use.

Click Finish to complete the setup process.
Switching Email Identities
You can now begin using your identity in Outlook Express. To change from one e-mail account (identity) to another use the Switch Identity feature in Outlook Express. It's located under the File menu. |
